What’s the buzz, BOS?
CommScope’s booth at Cable-Tec Expo was buzzing with customers checking out the new BOS. BOS™, as in BrightPath Optical Solutions, earned a coveted 4-diamond thumbs-up for our Low Noise Optical Receiver during the sixth annual Diamond Technology Reviews 2010 organized by Broadband Gear Report.
Basically, BOS helps operators cost effectively evolve their network by driving fiber deeper with a choice of proven architectures and leading edge technologies. With a full suite of headend, outside plant and end user solutions, BOS gives customers all the building blocks to build a superior network. So, what’s so great about a diamond?
BGR formed a team of industry experts who volunteer as judges. They score products based on written materials the vendor provides plus the judges’ individual knowledge or experience with the technology. Scores of 4 diamonds or above are considered superlative and reflect a very positive opinion from the panel, according to BGR. BOS is one of 27 products to earn four diamonds or more!
