I hope you stop by the CommScope booth (#1831) at CTIA WIRELESS 2011 to learn about GeoLENs Indoor, our new in-building caller location solution announced today.
GeoLENs Indoor can be deployed with existing DAS (distributed antenna system) or repeater infrastructure or as a stand alone indoor location solution, and offers the advantage of working with existing handsets. It makes it easier for emergency services personnel to locate mobile phone users inside large buildings, potentially saving lives and reducing risk of harm to rescuers. With 70 percent of wireless calls originating from inside buildings and other structures, GeoLENs Indoor is a much needed locating solution for the wireless industry.
