Hub de clientes e parceiros COVID-19 da CommScope Visitar
Recently I had two overwhelming experiences in Mexico City: the crazy traffic (that’s another blog post on its own), and Expo Seguridad, where I was caught up in all things security. And when I say “all things,” I mean ALL things.
Near the registration desk was a stand that had accessories for a security business, whether that be holsters, boots, body armor or protective clothing. Inside, I saw everything – building entry security products, airport body and item scanners, facial recognition software, handcuffs, military vehicles and a virtual reality demo used to prepare and respond to crisis situations. The one thing almost every vendor had in common was video. It was everywhere!
My main reason for going to Expo as part of my Mexico City trip was to visit a couple of CommScope’s partners, Anixter and CDC Group, as they highlighted the benefits of powered fiber cable to connect video for security.
Both companies told me that looking around at all the video, this was the right message to the right audience. Video is king in security. But the challenge for implementing video can be distance limitations, power availability and device placement. People coming by our partners’ booths were interested to hear about a solution that could address these concerns.
After visiting with our partners and walking the floor some more, I left with an appreciation for the challenges and the solutions that each vendor was presenting. From tricked-out police vehicles to fake soda bottles to hide your valuables, security is a big industry and I’m glad CommScope has a part to play.
Leave me a comment about your security struggles.
