Tim Gropp is the ARRIS Senior Vice President of Sales for Canada Cable, leads ARRIS Sales in Japan, and he is one of the newest members of the 2017 class of Cable TV Pioneers.
The Cable Pioneers organization recognizes industry leaders “who make significant contributions to the growth of our industry and our communities.” This year’s 20-person class will be the 51st annual, celebrated at the Cable Pioneer’s banquet in Denver, Colorado, prior to the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.
Tim’s exemplary industry leadership, service, and success made him a prime candidate for induction into the Cable TV Pioneers. His career spans 30 years in the cable industry, supplying the solutions to deliver video, broadband, and voice services to millions of consumers around the world. He joined ARRIS in 2007 through its acquisition of C-COR, and quickly made his mark as an international sales leader, most recently directing the ARRIS team that helped build the future of Australia’s broadband with National Broadband Network, Co. (nbn), the government business enterprise tasked with delivering open access broadband network to all premises in Australia.
Tim also serves on the Board of Directors of Adaptive Spirit, leading the industry’s support of the U.S. Paralympic Downhill Skiing and Snowboard teams. Each year, with Tim on the Board, ARRIS has been the single largest contributor to the cause and has helped Adaptive Spirit raise approximately one million annually to cover the teams’ equipment, travel, and training. Internally, at ARRIS, Tim is a member of the ARRIS Sales Leadership executive team and the ARRIS Women’s Business Network, which supports the personal and professional development of ARRIS employees. Many of Tim’s mentees are now pursuing successful careers in the cable industry.
Tim joins a prestigious list of ARRIS employees and alumnae who are Cable Pioneers– Ron Coppock, Zenita Henderson, Jim Kuhns, Jim Lysaker, Alex Swan and Bob Stanzione.
Congratulations to Tim and to all the members of the 2017 class of Cable Pioneers!
