Ram Ranganathan is the Director of Technology & Strategy, Access Network Solutions at CommScope. His current areas of research include Low Latency DOCSIS, Distributed Access Architectures (DAA), 5G xhaul, OpenRAN, Passive Optical Networks, SDN/NFV and Traffic Engineering.

Prior to his current role at CommScope, Ram served in technology leadership and innovation roles at SeaWell Networks, Siemens and Cplane Inc., where he worked on a wide range of telecommunication and networking technologies including IP Video Streaming, Enterprise WiFi, Network Security and Software Defined Networking.

Ram holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Anna University, India.
