SUNNYVALE, CA – 18 de novembro de 2016 – Ruckus Wireless, Inc., a part of Brocade, today announced it has won the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) Wi-Fi Industry Awards for “Best Converged Network Infrastructure” and “Distinguished WBA Member” for its OpenG™ technology. This is the second consecutive year Ruckus has been recognized in the WBA’s Wi-Fi Industry Awards, which is validation of Ruckus’s global reach and deployment capabilities.

The Best Converged Network Infrastructure Award is designed to recognize advances in converged wireless network infrastructure deployments, and the Distinguished WBA Member Award was created to recognize the contribution of WBA non-operator members to WBA work and work-areas. According to the WBA, "The judges top prize went to Ruckus as a good example of convergence in a direction that's at the core of service provider thinking, particularly as Ruckus looks to target the enterprise. We also recognized Ruckus Wireless for its outstanding industry input and for its contribution to the wireless industry over the last year."

"We are honored to be recognized once again by the WBA Wi-Fi Industry Awards," said Dan Rabinovitsj, COO, Ruckus Wireless Business Unit, Brocade. "This serves as an important milestone for us, which we believe validates the significant strides we've made this year with our OpenG technology. Enterprises and service providers around the world are recognizing the need for an in-building cellular solution that is easy to deploy and provides an attractive total cost of ownership (TCO) while improving coverage and performance."

Ruckus's OpenG technology combines coordinated shared spectrum, such as 3,5 GHz in the U.S., with neutral host-capable small cells to enable cost-effective, ubiquitous in-building cellular coverage. While distributed antenna systems (DAS) and traditional small cells can address some of the issues for in-building wireless data connectivity, their economics and deployment complexity limit their application. Ruckus’ OpenG technology offers a significantly less expensive, easier-to-deploy, mobile network-neutral alternative.
