The C100G software-defined converged cable access platform architecture, combined with its industry-leading density and integrated video capabilities, offers a distinct and compelling competitive advantage in delivering ultra broadband services.
Features and Benefits
The CommScope C100G CCAP is a next-generation, small-footprint CMTS that offers high-density, high-availability architecture in a 14-slot rack-mountable 13RU NEBS-compliant platform. The system supports full DOCSIS® 3.1E, 3.1, and 3.0 (backward compatibility) with integrated MPEG video Edge-QAM technology to create the first Integrated Converged Cable Access Platform (I-CCAP) platform for combining data and digital video into a single hardware solution.
By combining CMTS and video QAM technology into a single platform, cable service providers can maximize both power and the physical space requirements for equipment positioned at the cable headend. The system can be deployed as a full I-CCAP with BDM2m modules, providing full redundancy and failover support.
As an I-CCAP, DOCSIS CMTS and video edge QAM services are configured separately when there are no overlapping channels. The system checks to ensure that each QAM channel is operating for either DOCSIS or video. However, DOCSIS and video traffic can share the same network side interface (NSI) over separate VLANs.
See the Data Sheet for a full list of features, functionality, and integrations.
